Hey, I’m Dan, your host here at Dan of the Dead. I’m that guy who grew up renting horror movies on VHS, sneaking them past my parents, and watching them with alone in the dark. The one that got me? Halloween. Michael Myers walked into my life (very slowly, of course) and I’ve been obsessed with slashers ever since.

I started this podcast because I love everything about horror—the legends, the lore, the blood, the fear, and yeah… even the cheesy dialogue. Whether it's a deep dive into a cult classic, an exploration of a lesser-known film or genre, or a breakdown of what makes a final girl iconic, I’m here for all of it.

My favourite flavour of horror is slasher, hands down. Give me a masked killer, a doomed babysitter, and a synth-heavy score, and I’m happy. But Dan of the Dead isn’t just about the kill count—it's about storytelling, atmosphere, and what horror says about us. 

When I’m not behind the mic, I’m probably watching something scary, or reading some creepy tale that’s going to keep people awake for generations. And if we do our job right, maybe you’ll be up too—checking your locks and wondering what that sound was?… Something in the cellar?
